Pinkxyride is a ride-hailing service that connects customers with drivers for transportation. This Privacy Policy explains how Pinkxyride collects, uses, stores, and shares personal information when you use the Pinkxyride app, website, or related services.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information that you provide directly, information generated when you use the service, and information required to operate and secure our platform. The information we collect may include:

• Account and profile information: your name, email address, mobile number, profile picture, account preferences, and information associated with your account.
• Authentication information: your password in a protected, hashed form, verification codes, sign-in records, and device or push-notification tokens used to keep your account secure.
• Ride and location information: pickup and drop-off addresses and coordinates, route information, real-time location while a ride is in progress, driver availability and location, ride status, distance, fare, timing, ratings, tips, cancellations, and related communications.
• Driver and vehicle information: driver identity and contact details, driver licence and identity documents, vehicle registration and inspection records, driving or clearance records, insurance information, and payout account details when you register as a driver.
• Payment information: payment method, payment status, transaction amount, payment references, and limited card details such as card brand, last four digits, and expiry month and year. Full card numbers are handled by our payment service providers and are not stored by Pinkxyride.
• Communications and support: messages sent to drivers or customer support, feedback, complaints, and other information you choose to provide.
• Technical and security information: IP address, request and activity logs, session information, error records, and technical information needed to prevent fraud, enforce limits, and keep the service reliable.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use personal information to:

• create, authenticate, and manage user and driver accounts;
• match customers with drivers, arrange rides, calculate routes and fares, and provide live ride updates;
• process payments, refunds, driver payouts, and transaction-related support;
• send service, ride, payment, and safety notifications;
• provide customer support and respond to complaints or safety concerns;
• verify driver, vehicle, licence, and insurance information when applicable;
• detect fraud, prevent abuse, enforce our terms, and protect the rights and safety of users, drivers, and the public;
• maintain, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the service; and
• comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements.

Depending on the law that applies to you, we may rely on your consent, the performance of a contract, legal obligations, or our legitimate interests as the basis for processing your information.

3. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only when necessary to operate the service or meet a legal or safety obligation, including with:

• Drivers and customers involved in a ride: information needed to identify the rider or driver, provide pickup and drop-off details, communicate about the trip, and complete the ride.
• Service providers: providers that support cloud hosting, databases, maps and routing, payments, SMS or email delivery, push notifications, file storage, customer support, security, and other infrastructure. These providers may use information only to perform services for Pinkxyride.
• Professional advisers and authorities: where reasonably necessary for legal compliance, fraud prevention, claims, audits, or the protection of rights and safety.

We may disclose information if required by law, to respond to valid legal process, or in connection with a merger, reorganisation, or sale of assets. We will seek to limit disclosure and protect the information when legally permitted.

4. Location Information

Location is essential to the ride-hailing service. We may process your location to show nearby drivers, set pickup and drop-off points, provide route guidance, track an active ride, assist with safety and support, and maintain relevant ride records. We process location information only while the service requires it and for the purposes described in this policy.

5. Retention of Information

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including to provide the service, maintain ride and transaction records, resolve disputes, comply with legal and regulatory requirements, and protect the safety and security of the platform. When information is no longer needed, we may delete, anonymise, or securely archive it, subject to applicable law.

6. Security

We use administrative, technical, and organisational safeguards designed to protect personal information, including access controls, password hashing, encrypted connections, monitoring, and secure service-provider configurations. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure, so please use the service carefully and protect your account credentials.

7. Your Choices and Rights

Where applicable under the law, you may have the right to:

• request access to a copy of your personal information;
• correct or update inaccurate or incomplete information;
• request deletion of information that we are not required to retain;
• request a portable copy of certain information;
• object to, or request restrictions on, certain processing;
• withdraw consent where processing is based on consent; and
• opt out of marketing or non-essential notifications.

You can update some account information and notification choices directly in the app. To make another privacy request, contact us through the in-app support channel. We may ask for reasonable information to verify your identity and protect your account. Your rights and the available exceptions depend on your location.

8. Cookies and Similar Technologies

We may use cookies, session storage, or similar technologies that are necessary to authenticate users, remember preferences, maintain sessions, provide security, and support the core operation of the service. If we introduce optional technologies that are not required for the service, we will provide appropriate notice and choices where required by law.

9. Children

Pinkxyride is not intended for children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information to us, please contact us through the in-app support channel so that we can review and delete it where appropriate.

10. International Transfers

Your information may be processed in countries other than the country where you live. When that happens, we use appropriate legal or technical safeguards to protect the information, where required.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in the service, our practices, or legal requirements. We will publish the updated policy and, where appropriate, provide additional notice through the app or another contact channel. The effective date at the top identifies the latest version.
